The SWAT Chasers are monitoring a severe weather event which could occur across Illinois, Indiana and into Western Ohio on Tuesday Afternoon into Tuesday Night.
A Strengthening weather system will move through the Western Midwest leaving all of Indiana in the warm sector with increasing instability. As the energy associated with the low pressure system and frontal boundary collides with that instability, supercells are likely to develop across Illinois and spread into Indiana by Tuesday Evening.
The Short Range Ensembles Forecast (SREF) is showing an enhanced tornado risk across Central Indiana late Tuesday Evening/Tuesday Night.
The map above is the SWAT Severe Weather Risk Forecast for Tuesday. We’ll update the forecast as necessary.
We will monitor the situation and of course bring updates as necessary.
